Pregnancy Pillows – When You Want To Sleep But Can’t

There is only a particular time in a woman’s life that she just wants to sleep and do nothing else, but can’t sleep anyway. That is how difficult it is to be pregnant that one can’t even do the easiest activity in the world, unless, that woman happens to be an insomniac.

Luckily, pregnant women can get a little bit of help from pregnancy pillows.

For those who are in the dark, pregnancy pillows are not your ordinary rectangular pillows. In fact, none of the pregnancy pillows are rectangle in nature. These are made to make it comfortable for pregnant women to move around the bed even with a basketball tummy.

Among the many pregnancy pillows made is the boppy total body pillow that goes around the neck down to the body. This will make it comfortable for a pregnant woman to sleep on her back and even to the sides. There is a contour shape on the limbs of this particular pillow so that when you sleep on the side, there is no discomfort on the tummy.

There are also women who love to put their legs around pillows or even their husbands. Well, that would be hard to do when there is a bump in between the pillow and you or your husband and you; but not with the boppy, so move however you want and leg hug the pillow as much as you want.

The body pregnancy pillow is about half that of the boppy. Most of those in production are in a shape of a “c.” I say most in production because over the years, the pregnancy pillows have already evolved. But the more common body pregnancy pillow gives support to the neck, the tummy area and the legs for leg hugging. This is why it is in an imperfect c-shape.

Pregnancy Pillows – Do I Need One?

The pregnancy pillows do wonders, so if you are pregnant, I would suggest this as among the bare essentials. In fact, it is even one of those things that you bring to the hospital when labor is looming. You know how uncomfortable hospital beds are and there is no guaranty that when you’re there, the baby will pop out in a minute.

When buying pregnancy pillows, I suggest that you try it at the store. While these are not custom-made, although, some companies though make them that way but it can never be custom-made because the tummy grows; there are so many different styles out there. It would be great if you can try whichever form suits you best.
